20" This is a beautiful china on a very good (original) canvas-type body. Her china arms are in excellent condition also. When she came to me, her legs were not present, so I have poured and fired new china boot/legs (with gold highlights) for her. She is wearing a vintage taffata dress, and petticoat of fine net material, which a loving owner made for her years ago. I have added to her trouseau a half slip, chemise, and drawers. China dolls such as this were manufactured form the 1860's to the 1880's by many different concerns, and were shipped all over the world. China dolls are very popular for collectors because of the great variation of examples available, and are a wonderful way to get started in collecting antique dolls.
